Who it is for

The debit card is available to all ABN AMRO customers with a payment package or personal account.

Included with your debit card as standard

  • Contactless payments
  • Payments at all payment terminals in the Netherlands
  • Payments at all payment terminals abroad that have the Maestro logo
  • Cash withdrawals
  • Payment of parking fees with entering your PIN (Dip & Go)
Fees

If you have an ABN AMRO payment package, you will not be charged for your debit card. If you only have a current account, but no payment package, your monthly fee will be €1.40 .

Payment terminals

Euro payments in the Netherlands and all countries in the Eurozone are free of charge. Payments in other currencies cost € 2.25 per payment, plus a 1.2% exchange fee. 

Replacement debit card

You can request a replacement debit card using Internet Banking or in the ABN AMRO app.

Activating your debit card

You can activate your debit card yourself using an activation code, by making a or cash withdrawal, or by checking your balance at an ATM.

In the Netherlands

The following limits apply to cash withdrawals in the Netherlands: 

  • €500  
  • €10.000  

You can change your limit up to a maximum of  €10.000  per day. 

In other countries

As standard, you can withdraw up to €500  per day at ATMs outside the Netherlands. Please note that this amount may vary depending on the country or bank. These variations are out of ABN AMRO’s control.

Contactless payments

Contactless payments are quick and easy.

  • You can pay for purchases of up to €50 without entering your PIN
  • For payments over €50, you will always be required to enter your PIN

You can make consecutive contactless payments up to €100.
