Documents for a consultation

Well prepared for your consultation

The consultation with your adviser will go a lot smoother when you come prepared and bring the right documents. If you are not sure what documents you’ll need, the following will explain what you need to bring to a particular type of consultation.

 

Day-to-day banking

You need the following to open a bank account, a joint account or to register an authorized representative.:

  • A valid passport, identity card or residence permit (no driver's license). If you are not a Dutch national, only a passport or residence permit will be considered valid proof of ID.
  • A phone or tablet with the ABN AMRO app on it. You will need this to , even if you have an appointment at the office.
  • View the overview of the rates for your daily banking.
  • During the conversation, the advisor will fill in your details and show them to you. You can then check it and adjust it if necessary. You will also discuss the product features together. At the end of your appointment, the documents will be prepared for you to sign. Read everything carefully again and then sign the documents. If you have signed, the agreement takes effect immediately. You can find the signed documents in your personal environment.

Distributed Portfolio Management

Are you an Individual investor? Please bring the following documents:

  • Passport or European Identity card. Please bring the original document, we cannot use a copy.
  • A phone or tablet with the ABN AMRO app on it. You will need this to check your identification, even if you have an appointment at the office. 
  • (If applicable) notarised power of attorney or living will 
  • In order to provide you with suitable advice it is important that we know your financial situation. You can prepare this with your income tax return. The income tax return is the annual report for the tax authorities with your income, financial obligations, possessions, and depts. Your advisor uses this information for your advice.

Are you a commercial client? Please bring the following documents:

  • Passport or European Identity card. Please bring the original document, we cannot use a copy.
  • By-laws (in case these have been changed recently)
  • Legal Entity Identifier*
  • (If applicable) notarised power of attorney or living will
  • Most recent financial statement of your company (not older than 3 years)
  • (If applicable) notarised power of attorney

We will reach out to the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) for a KVK Extract.

*Are you not in the possession of a Legal Entity Identifier? Reach out to the to the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) and request a Legal Entity Identifier. 

How can I prepare for my appointment?

Do you have an appointment to compile your investor profile or for the annual revision of your investor profile? Applying for insurance

  • Proof of ID: A valid passport, valid ID card or residence permit (a driving licence is not accepted as proof of ID). If you are not a Dutch national, only a passport or residence permit will be considered valid proof of ID.
  • If you already have insurance, please bring the policy document(s) from your current insurer(s).

Applying for or changing a loan

If you want to apply for a loan or change an existing loan, you will need to bring proof of ID and other documents, such as your income details. This is to ensure that you borrow responsibly and get a loan that matches your situation.

Applying for a mortgage

When taking out a mortgage, you will need to bring proof of ID and other documents, such as your income details. This information will allow us to give you personalised and comprehensive mortgage advice.
