You have built up wealth, and you can be proud of that. You also want to make sure it ends up in the right hands. Thinking about your legacy may not be the most entertaining of things to do. However, being unprepared is even worse for you and your loved ones. ABN AMRO MeesPierson offers you and your family various services with which we help you prepare for later. In this way your assets are left behind just the way you want them to be.
Would you like to know more and do you already bank with ABN AMRO MeesPierson? Please contact Private Assistance or make an appointment for Video Banking, an online video call with your private banker. You don´t bank with us yet? Please contact us without any obligation.
Estate planning is about everything that has to do with the transfer of your assets to the next generation. We map this out for you in a personal Estate Plan. Since your private banker and our estate planners know your situation, you will receive advice based on your personal wishes. For example, we provide advice on necessary changes to your will or to your prenuptial agreement.
Suppose you can no longer act yourself due to illness or an accident. Who will then make the decisions on your behalf? What wishes and ideas should this person take into account? You can record these things in a living will. In this way you can keep control to a certain extent, despite the fact that the implementation will be the responsibility of someone else.
No matter how close your family is, there are always topics that are difficult to discuss. In some cases, it may be helpful to talk to your family about your estate and the choices you have made while you are alive. Your private banker or another ABN AMRO MeesPierson specialist can help you with this as an independent party.
We distinguish between two types of administration.
1. If you do not want your heir to have immediate access to your estate, their inheritance can be placed under administration through your will.
2. When you are no longer able to make financial decisions yourself, an administrator can be appointed as your financial representative.
We are happy to assist you in both situations.
As an independent adviser, the executor ensures the complete and careful settlement of your estate. With an executor you have less chance of conflicts in the family. The executor records agreements that are not in a will, but are important for the settlement. Our specialists guide the settlement from start to finish on the basis of your will and inventory.
If one of your loved ones has died, you can report this to us online. Would you prefer personal contact? Then you can always call us or visit a branch of the bank. We will then fill in the online form together with you. Our colleagues from Private Assistance are available on weekdays from 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on telephone number +31 (0)20 343 43 43.
When someone in your immediate vicinity dies, an emotional period follows. A period in which you have to arrange a lot. For example, the administrative processing, so that banking needs continue as usual. Your private banker can support you in this.
Send us your contact information and we will call you back within one business day.
We are available on business days between 09.00 and 17.00 to exchange ideas.
