If you are opening your account with a non-EU passport, you must have a Dutch residential address. You can prove this with an extract from the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP). You apply for this extract in the municipality where you live.
Without your proof of registration your account is not yet available for use. It is also not yet possible to open other products. Read more.
Please note: an extract from the Non-residents Records Database (in Dutch: Registratie Niet-ingezetenen or RNI) will not be accepted. Go to the website of the Dutch Government (in Dutch: Rijksoverheid) for more information about registering in the BRP.
