As a debtor, there are 2 things you need to do for a SEPA B2B Direct Debit.

Step 1: sign a new mandate

  • You receive the mandate form from the creditor. You sign this form and return it to the creditor.

Step 2: register the mandate with ABN AMRO

  • You need to fill in the registration form of ABN AMRO and send it to the address given on the form. Please note: this form can only be used by ABN AMRO customers.
  • Sometimes, the creditor will send you a form for registration of the mandate at your bank. ABN AMRO only accepts the standard registration form of the Dutch Payment Association . If the creditor sends you this form, please follow the instructions provided with it.
  • Both the mandate form and the registration form have to be signed by a person who is authorised to sign on behalf of your company, and who is registered as a signatory at the Chamber of Commerce. Please make sure that the signatory is known at ABN AMRO and that ABN AMRO has a specimen of his/her signature.
  • ABN AMRO only accepts the registration form of ABN AMRO and the registration form of the Dutch Payment Association. Other forms cannot be processed and will be returned to you.

Change banks

If you change banks, you must register your B2B mandates with your new bank. Subsequently you withdraw the registration of these mandates from ABN AMRO.

Withdraw the mandate

If you want a specific creditor to stop collecting amounts with a SEPA B2B Direct Debit, you have to withdraw the mandate registration from your current bank and inform your creditor. You can use the ABN AMRO mandate registration form to withdraw your mandate registration.

Please note: the standard registration form of the Dutch Payment Association cannot be used for this purpose.
